French hotel chain is responding to the expansion of tourism with a 12 billion forint development.
Accor Hotels is investing 35 million euros (about 11.78 billion forints) in the renovation of its hotels in Budapest. According to the hotel chain’s announcement sent to Hungarian News Agency (MTI), 261 rooms of three hotels have been renovated since last year.

The announcement is quoting Sabina Bartyzel, the Regional Operational Manager of Novotel and Mercure in Hungary. She highlighted that Budapest is becoming increasingly attractive to both business and recreational as well as "bleisure" travelers, which is regarded as the combination of the aforementioned types. “Budapest is a trendy and safe city,” she added. Currently, the hotel chain manages 4300 hotels worldwide. Based on previous reports, the net turnover of the Hungarian hotels of Accor increased by 15.4 percent, exceeding 25.8 billion forints. Luc Gesvret, Managing Director in Hungary, said that this year, similarly to last year, a dynamic revenue growth is expected and several developments are being implemented.
